Abstract: Leitfaden und Regeln
Abstract-Text
Abstract processing fees (APFs)
DKT. Teilnahmegebühren fallen separat an.
- Titel Ihres Abstracts;
- alle Autoren mit vollen Vornamen (keine Initialen) und Nachnamen;
- alle Email-Adressen der Autoren (d.h. die Email-Adresse jedes einzelnen Autors);
- Text Ihres Abstracts;
- Ihr bevorzugter Präsentationstyp;
- Rechnungsanschrift für die Beitragsbearbeitungsgebühr.
How to Submit an Abstract

The following steps are the guide for abstract submission:

- Fill out the submission form with information on title, author(s), and institution/university of the author(s).
- ORCID numbers are linked for authors who have entered their ORCID ID in the "personal data" section of their Copernicus account.
- An HTML editor is available in the submission form for the abstract text.
- Choose your preferred presentation format ("oral preference" or "poster preference"). Please note, however, that an oral presentation cannot always be guaranteed.
- Accept the License & Copyright Agreement and proceed to the Abstract Preview.
- If problems arise during abstract generation, use the "Specify Problems" button; otherwise click "Proceed to payment" to move to the payment process.

Abstract: Guidelines and Rules
Abstract text
- The abstract text should be short (approx. 300 words), clear, and precise. Submissions should be written in English or German with correct spelling and good sentence structure.
- Mathematical symbols and formulas can be entered directly or included as an image.
- A maximum of 6 figures should not be exceeded. The figure caption must be embedded directly in the image. A maximum resolution of 500 x 500 pixels and/or a maximum file size of 1 MB per figure must not be exceeded.
- Abstracts should be carefully prepared and thoroughly checked before submission, particularly with regard to the author list, to prevent last-minute changes.
Obligations
- Submitting the abstract entails the obligation that it will actually be presented at the conference by the author or at least one person from the list of co-authors. If this turns out not to be possible, please withdraw your abstract as early as possible.
- By submitting an abstract, the authors accept the License & Copyright Agreement.
- Responsibility for the content of DKT abstracts lies with the authors. DKT reserves the right to reject abstracts that are not written in German or English, that fall outside the DKT conference's subject matter, or that do not meet basic scientific standards.
- The official languages of the DKT are German and English. Simultaneous interpretation is not offered. Authors are therefore expected to be able to present their research findings more or less fluently in German or English.
Abstract processing fees (APFs)
- A submission processing fee (abstract processing fee / APF) of 40€ must be paid for each submission.
- The processing fee can only be paid by credit card or PayPal. You will be asked for your billing address, as a formal invoice and payment receipt will be sent to you by email. Please note that in most cases an institutional invoice with your institute's billing address is required rather than your personal address. For this reason, the submission form defaults to "institutional invoice," but this can be changed to "personal invoice" if needed. If your institute is based in an EU country, you will be asked to provide the corresponding VAT identification number. This VAT identification number can usually be found in the legal notice ("Impressum") on your institute's website. Please carefully check your billing address to avoid later invoice corrections.
- Abstracts will only be processed after payment has been fully completed and made available to the session chairs. Please note that this is a processing fee, not a publication fee.
- Processing fees are non-refundable in the case of abstract withdrawal, rejection of the abstract, or duplicate submission. The fees collected cover the costs of processing the abstract, regardless of whether the person attends the conference or not.
- The processing fees do not include the participation fees for the 14th DKT. Participation fees apply separately.
Late Submissions
Late abstracts can be sent to the session chairs by email after 26th November 2026, so that they can be submitted on the author's behalf. Please note that the session chairs also have a submission deadline. We therefore recommend sending a late abstract to the relevant session chairs by 30th November 2026 at the latest. It is important to provide the session chairs with the following information:
- Title of your abstract;
- All authors with full first names (no initials) and last names;
- Email addresses of all authors (i.e., the email address of each individual author);
- Text of your abstract;
- Your preferred presentation type;
- Billing address for the submission processing fee.
